Activity tax
Municipalities have the right to levy an ‘activity tax’ (impuesto sobre actividades económicas). The amount depends on the activity, district / street, and the number of square meters that occupy the business space.
In most municipalities there is an exemption for companies with a turnover of less than one million euros.
Other taxes and taxes
There are also levies for collecting garbage (regardless of whether there is really garbage or not), there is a road tax (linked to cars and motorbikes) and there is a mandatory annual contribuite for the Chamber of Commerce.
Depending on the municipality, multiple local taxes and taxes may apply.
